Coming to Kanchanaburi without visiting The Death Railway It is the must-visit tourist attraction of Kanchanaburi; even local Thais will come here! The Death Railway is one of the most dangerous curving bridges, which is built of wooden log along the mountain side. This railway was constructed by the allied prisoners during Second World War, with a long history until now, waiting for your visit!

During this private day trip from Bangkok, I will show you around Kanchanaburi and River Kwai, where you can learn more about the local history.

Enjoy the ride through the beautiful scenery and listen to stories I have prepared for you. Our first visit will be to the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and the Death WWII War Museum. Here you can understand more about the history of the region and of the construction of the railway and the bridge that you will see later.

We’ll continue our way towards River Kwai and more views and a hidden temple in a cave!

Tour Itinerary

07.00 am. we meet up at your hotel

09.30 am. Kanchanaburi Allied War Cemetary.

10.00 am. Visit the JEATH War Museum to get an impression about life in Asia during World War II.

10.30 am. See the historical Bridge over the River Kwai and You can capture some of an impressive collection here.

10.45 am. Ride the Burma Railway, built by the Empire of Japan to support its forces in World War II. Visit the Tham Krasea Buddha Cave. (also known as the “Death Railway” and “Burma-Siam Railway.)

12.00 pm. Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch

01.00 pm. Next, go to the Tham Krasea cave to see the small statue of a Buddha.

02.30 pm. Return to Bangkok

06.00 pm. Arrive at Bangkok
